Threshold / 拐点
Information is abundant.
Thought is not.
We are approaching a strange threshold.
For two decades, technology has been systematically removing friction: faster information, stronger recommendation, shorter feedback loops, less waiting.
We gained unprecedented access to knowledge, yet increasingly struggle to form uninterrupted thought.
When feeds, notifications, summaries, synthetic media and machine-generated answers compete for every second of attention, the problem is no longer information scarcity.
It is a permanent DDoS attack on human cognitive bandwidth.
So we choose another direction.
Friction /
Friction is a
cognitive checksum.
We return to analog, repair, upcycling, slow technology, silence and friction — not as nostalgia, but as recognition that touch, waiting, repetition and imperfection are part of human cognition.
Friction is not failure.
Friction is a cognitive checksum.
The future of computing should not remain trapped inside one universal rectangle of glass.
Intelligence can disperse back into the physical world: a handful of quiet, specialised, repairable and personally owned machines performing long-horizon tasks while humans return to living.
Truth / 真相
Return to the
source of truth.
But another future is also emerging: concentrated data, concentrated models, concentrated identity and concentrated gateways to knowledge — until even our definition of reality is mediated by a small number of computational systems.
We reject the assumption that convenience equals freedom, prediction equals understanding, correlation equals truth, or measurement equals reality.
Source of Truth。 We return to the Source of Truth.
Read the paper, not the summary of the summary.
Find the raw data.
Listen to the witness.
Allow uncertainty.
Allow waiting.
Allow verification.
Every unnecessary layer of mediation introduces cognitive entropy.
Attention / 注意力
Knowledge is compression
through thought.
Knowledge is compression through thought.
We also reject the pseudo-intellect of FOMO: saving a thousand essays, following a hundred feeds and consulting ten machines while leaving no time to form a thought of our own.
Information consumption is not knowledge.
Knowledge is compression through thought.
We remain cautious of Dataism — the belief that everything meaningful can be quantified, ranked, predicted and optimised — and of the digital Panopticon, where every action becomes a data point and convenience quietly evolves into control.
We therefore propose a different technological philosophy:
Less information. Higher signal.
Fewer interfaces. Longer actions.
Less recommendation. More intention.
Less instant gratification. Deeper time.
Quiet AI / 安静的 AI
It should
become quiet.
AI should not become another feed demanding our attention.
It should become quiet.
Let machines work for hours, days or months while we read, walk, make, talk and live — returning only when something genuinely matters.
The most important technology of the next era may not be technology that gives us more information. It may be technology that protects us from being consumed by it.
This is not anti-technology.
It is a demand that technology return to human scale.
Ownership / 所有权
Own what shapes
your mind.
Own your tools.
Own your data.
Own your attention.
Own your judgment.
Movement / 行动
Create attention.
Restore agency.
Let us build a new kind of social entrepreneurship:
not systems that capture more attention,but systems that create more attention;
not systems that maximise dependency,but systems that restore agency;
not a perfectly frictionless world, but one that preserves the necessary resistance through which we can still think, doubt, feel—and remain human.
